From Houston/The Woodlands/Conroe: Take I-45 North to FM 1375 (New Waverly). Go left (west) on FM 1375 to Hwy 149. Go right (north) on Hwy 149 around to FM 1791. Go right (north) on 1791. See next map for further directions. From Houston/The Woodlands/Conroe/Hempstead/Navasota: Go 4.3 miles north on FM 1791 to Forest Service 209. You will pass a brown sign on your left which says "Leaving Sam Houston National Forest." Forest Service 209 is the first left (approx. 1/2 mile after this sign). The road is not marked well. Follow the map above to get to the gate. From Dallas/Hunstville/Bryan/College Station: Go south on FM 1791 to Forest Service 209. You will pass Farris Cemetary on your right. Forest Service is the first right after the cemetary (approx. 1/4 mile after cemetary). The road is not marked well. Follow the map above to get to the gate. From Dallas/Huntsville From the Dallas area, take I-45 South to the FM 1791 exit on the north side of Huntsville. The map above does not show FM 1791 attaching to I-45 but it does. If you are coming from the west or east of Huntsville, take Hwy 30 west of Huntsville to FM 1791, turn south. See next map for further directions. From Hempstead/Navasota Take Hwy 6 North to Hwy 90 in Navasota. Go right (east) on Hwy 90 to Hwy 149 in Anderson. Go right (east) on Hwy 149 through Richards to FM 1791. Go left (north) on FM 1791. See next map for further directions. From Bryan/College Station Take Hwy 60 East to Hwy 30. Go right (south) on Hwy 30 to FM 3179. Go right (south) on FM 3179 to FM 1791. Go right (south) on FM 1791.
