Recall Issued for the KTM ATV Models 450/525 XC and 450/505SX

KTM is recalling the ATV models 450/525 XC from the 2008 and
2009 model years, as well as the 2009 model of the 450/505 SX, in
order to replace the rear brake calliper support and the hand
brake cylinder's piston return spring in officially authorized
workshops.

A defect can develop in the rear brake calliper support of the 2008 and
2009 models of the 450/525 XC ATV and in the 2009 model of the
450/505 SX. Problems with the hand brake cylinder's piston return
spring can also develop. It is essential to replace the affected parts
immediately, in order to ensure the complete functional capability and
reliability of the braking system, as well as the satisfaction and safety of
our customers.

Buyers of the above-mentioned ATV models are therefore requested to
contact an official KTM-authorized repair shop. The replacement of the
rear brake calliper support and the piston return spring of the hand
brake cylinder are naturally free of charge and can be accomplished in
one short visit to a repair shop.

All owners of the models in question will personally receive written
