Managing Your Profile

Your profile is your face to the ATV world.  Using it to the maximum is worth your time.  Not only does the information you provide allow others to connect with you, but it also allows the site itself to customize your online experience.  Your profile is where you can customize all of your settings for your experience on atvescape.com.  Don't forget to click on "Update" after you make any changes to your profile.  Here are the steps to get to your profiles settings.

1. Log into atvescape.com with your user name and password.  If you can't remember your user name and password click on the "lost password" link underneath the log-in box, and follow the instructions.
2. On the user menu on the left-hand side of the screen click on "My Profile".  From there two menu items appear below the "My Profile" menu item.   Those items will be "Edit Profile" and "My Picture". Click on "Edit Profile" to change the settings for your profile.  Click on "My Picture" to change your profile picture.

Editing Your Profile and Profile Settings

All of the tabs on your profile settings control what your profile shows and the information it contains.  If a tab does not contain any information, then it does not show up on your profile other users see.  The "Contact Info" tab never shows any information other users can view.  Let's go through the different tabs.

Contact Info Tab

This tab is NEVER seen by anyone but you.  This tab is where you can change your name and password as well as manage whether or not you receive occasional site emails.

Privacy Control 

This tab allows you to choose who can view your profile.  You have 4 choices.

1. Public- If you choose Public, then anyone whether they are registered on atvescape.com or not, will be able to look at your profile.
2. Registered- If you choose Registered, then only atvescape.com site members will be able to view your profile.
3. Connected- If you choose Connected, then only other atvescape.com site members on your friend list will be able to view your profile.
4. Private- If you choose Private, no one will be able to view your profile. 

My Info or Club Info Tab

Depending on the profile type you selected when you registered, you will have a "My Info" tab or a "Club Info" tab.  Some of these fields are required and others are not, but all of them will be seen by people who view your profile if you privacy settings allow it.  Any fields which are not filled in will not show on your profile visitors will see. This tab helps you connect with others in your area, and shows others what kind of riding you prefer to do.  Be sure and put in your own website address if you have one.
