The personal message application on ATV Escape allows you to send personal messages to other members on the site.  Here are some simple instructions on how to use the application.

The inbox screen is the main screen you will see anytime you click on the My Messages menu item on the User Menu.

Any messages you have will be on this screen.  Click on the subject of the message in order to view it.

This is the Toolbar which is located at the top of every page within the messaging application.

This is what the screen looks like when you click on the Write Message option on the toolbar.

Notice the icons to the right of the recipient field.  The first icon is the address book.  If you click on it, you can choose recipients from your address book.  The other icon is the user list for the site.  You can click on this and choose user names as recipients.  You can can also just start typing a user name in the field and the site will narrow the list down for you from the site user list.

The list on the left is your addressbook and the list on the right is the site user list.  You can use the filter at the bottom right to help you narrow the user list based on the alphabet.  The thing you want to focus on is on the bottom left which says To import your buddies, click here.  Click on this and all of your friends from your friends list will be imported into your addressbook.  This is a real time saver.

This is the screen you will see when you click on the Settings icon on the toolbar.

These settings will allow you to set how and if you will be notified when you receive new personal messages. Be sure to save your settings if you make any changes.

Hopefully this tutorial has been helpful.  You can also look in the forum for further help.
