Arizona - Prescott NF To Host Public Meetings For Draft Land & Resource Mgmt Plan Hot

The Forest Service will be hosting a series of public meetings in mid-October to provide information and to accept comments about the Prescott National Forest Draft Land and Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement.

The public is invited to attend the following public meetings:

Chino Valley:      Monday, October 15, 2012            
                             Chino Valley Parks and Recreation Building, 1615 North Road 1 East

Prescott:             Tuesday, October 16, 2012           
                             Yavapai County BOS Hearing Room, 1015 Fair Street

Camp Verde:      Thursday, October 18, 2012         
                             Verde Ranger Station, 300 East Highway 260

At the meetings, participants can obtain information about the proposed plan and alternatives, ask questions, and share comments and concerns about future management of the Prescott National Forest. The meeting agenda includes: 

            5:30-6:00 pm  Open House
            6:00-6:30 pm  Overview Presentations of Proposed Plan
            6:30-7:30 pm  Question and Comment Sessions
            7:30-7:40 pm  Closing Comments

The draft documents are available for public review and comment through November 28, 2012, and can be viewed or downloaded from the Prescott National Forest website: www.fs.usda.gov/detail/prescott/home/?cid=stelprdb5342004.
