2018 Wildcat XX From Textron Off Road Is Out: Hang On Tight

2018 Textron Off Road Wildcat XX

It’s time to welcome a new member to the pure sport segment of the side-by-side market, and it is the elusive Wildcat XX from Textron Off Road also known as the "Double X" . It has been a long time coming! The Wildcat XX started as a joint project between Arctic Cat and Robby Gordon the well known off road racer, but Arctic Cat couldn’t seem to get it to market. Enter Textron Off Road with its acquisition of Arctic Cat, and its acquisition of the Wildcat XX project. Textron poured the money into the project to get it finished up to release this beast, and it is a beast in all the best ways. The specs on the Wildcat XX are competitive to the top players in the market, and, though it doesn’t have a turbo from the factory at the moment… the machine can handle a lot more horsepower without any issue. In fact, with its release there are more than one choice of turbos available to bolt on. The Wildcat XX comes into the pure and super sport market with the chops to not only be competitive but also to push the boundaries of how side-by-sides are engineered.

We just got back from driving to Wildcat XX, and you can read a full-review in the upcoming March-April Issue of ATV & UTV ESCAPE Magazine. We can tell you the Wildcat XX is nothing like any of the other pure or super sport side-by-sides in the industry, and the level of engineering and quality that can be seen in this machine is top notch. The ride is the best of any pure sport we have driven straight off the dealer floor.
