It's that time of the year when the smell of new ATV models is in the air. Arctic Cat has released the first group of 2010 models, and we can tell you Arctic Cat has returned to the table with a strong line of ATVs intended to dominate  the industry. There are no changes which are industry-changing such as the Thunder Cat’s 1000 release. More than anything, the 2010 lineup includes tweaks on some models and the addition of some new models. We will give you a summary of the models that have been released, and then we will get more in depth in the coming days.

So let us begin with the big bore powerhouse named the “Thunder Cat”.  There are no big changes with the Thunder Cat this year. It is still the “big cat” on the block in the ATV industry.  This year the models include limited editions in the metallic green paint.

One change this year is a new look on the front-end of the 550H1 EFI model (see pic below), along with a new camo pattern called Advantage Timber. There is also a new electric differential thumb switch on the right handle bar, which allows you to select 2WD, 4WD, or 4WD with differential lock for those really challenging situations. This departs from the rocker switch on the headlight pod used in the past.Thumb Switch

The 2-Up segment of the ATV market continues to grow. To bring more depth to their 2-Up machine lineup, Arctic Cat added a brand new TRV 700 model for 2010 to their already existing TRV 550 model. These are well thought out machines. The rear seat is removable, and then you can add a large rear rack or cargo box. This flexibility is simply a great innovation.
