Welcome The 2019 Can-Am Maverick Sport MAX

2019 Can-Am Maverick Sport MAX

The Maverick Sport MAX DPS is an electronic power steering-equipped UTV offered with one engine available – the 100 horsepower Rotax V-twin engine. This 976cc, liquid cooled engine is mated to Can-Am’s CVT transmission, which includes high-flow ventilation to keep the belt and clutch components cool even in the most extreme conditions. There is also Electronic Hill Descent Control and Sport/ECO modes that both aid the driver in all kinds of different riding terrains. 4WD is standard with the Visco-Lok auto locking front differential.

Suspension wise, the front features a double a-arm design with 12.5” of travel. The rear features TTA rear suspension with a sway bar and 13” of travel. All four corners are equipped with FOX 2.0 Podium Piggyback QS3 shocks, which include compression adjustment.

The front and rear of the Maverick Sport MAX comes with dual 220mm ventilated disc brakes with hydraulic twin-piston calipers to keep everything in order when you have to slow this 1697 lb (dry weight) vehicle to a stop.

Yes, this machine has many of the features of the 2-seat Maverick Sport built into this 4-seat model, like the full, sealed doors that keep the outside out and the inside, well, in. From our experience, these doors are setting the standard in the industry for durability, ease of use, and sealing with a full weather seal spanning the inside of the door. With 4 full seats and various impressive interior elements found in the 2-seat Sport and Trail, we are really interested in testing out the interior space to see how it compares to other machines already on the market.

As many other machines have in the industry, the Maverick Sport MAX comes standard with Maxxis Bighorn 2.0 tires that are 27” tall. 12” cast aluminum wheels ensure that this vehicle uses every bit of its 12” of ground clearance.

Those of you looking to tow with this machine or haul cargo, the towing capacity with the standard 2” receiver is 1500 lbs, and the cargo box capacity in the back is rated to carry 300 lbs.

Again, we look forward to getting behind the wheel of this Can-Am in the near future! Until then, peruse the pictures and keep an eye out for more information on the ATV ESCAPE network, soon...
