Can-Am Introduces The Defender 6x6- Complete With 6 Wheels
Leading the charge for the Cam-Am Off Road 2020 model release this week was the brand new Defender 6x6. Yes, six wheels of pulling power that just looks cool as well as rough-and-tumble. Really, who can look at a six-wheel Defender and not think "man that would be fine to drive"? Dustin Jones, was the master of ceremonies at the Can-Am release party, and his entrance into the ring was aboard the Defender 6x6. It is safe to say this thing is a beast.
He was joined in the bull riding arena with JJ who is the side-by-side product manager for Can-Am. They both walked all of the audience through what the 6x6 capabilities include.
Here are the highlights:
- Updated DH10 engine with a new 82 horsepower and 69 lb-ft of torque.
- Bed with removable sides totals 6-feet long x 4.5-feet wide and can haul 1000+ lbs.
- Tow rating is 3000 lbs.
- Drive models include 4x6 and 6x6 drive!
- Arched front A-Arms and and arched rear TTA suspension.
- 13-inches of ground clearance
- High-rigidity chassis
- Thicker firewall
- Automatic dump-bed feature available.
The Defender 6x6 also comes with all of the features of a 4-wheel Defender. We loved our Defender MAX Lone Star Edition for the time that we had it, and we would love to get our hands on the new Defender 6x6. What is not to like with drive modes like 4x6 or 6x6 drive, and a cargo bed long enough to put a mattress in!
