2021 Polaris General XP 1000 Factory Custom Model
It is hard to believe that the General was introduced in 2015 making it six years old. The Polaris General was Polaris’ first official foray into the rec/utility segment, which at the time was held firmly and soley by the Can-Am Commander. With the Commander’s 1000 engine placing it in a category all it’s own, the General came to the party with 100 horsepower, a very plush cabin, dumping rear cargo bed, and a ride to brag about. Fast-forward now six years to see the evolution of the General family to include a 64-inch General XP 1000 series of models. This week Polaris released the latest in the General family: The General XP 1000 Factory Custom Edition.

Just a few short weeks ago, we had the privilege of attending the 2021 model introduction in order to ride several 2021 Polaris ATVs and side-by-sides. Polaris revealed the General XP 1000 Factory Custom Edition to us at the time, once we signed a agreement to keep our mouths shut until the Factory Custom was officially released this past week. Polaris wanted to go all out to make the General XP 1000 Factory Custom feel like a …wait for it… “custom” side-by-side. Let’s jump into what features make the General XP 1000 Factory Custom Edition special.
Matte Titanium Metallic finish wrapped in Polaris Blue and Carbon Fiber graphics can be found across the vehicle. Components including the front bumper, suspension control arms, and springs have been power-coated in Polaris Blue for a custom look.
A front bumper has been added with an included blacked-out 11-inch Pro Armor light bar. There is also a winch.
Seats are embroidered with badging including color-matched piped for that custom look.
A race-inspired steering wheel features semi-perforated material and contrast stitching.
Thirty-inch Pro Armor Crawler tires are fitted to Pro Armor HEXLER wheels which include color-matched beadlock rings that are fully functional and look sharp.
Inside the cab includes the 7-Inch touchscreen RIDE COMMAND system including sat-nav and control of the Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 audio system which includes four speakers and 10-inch subwoofer.
With people looking to customize their side-by-sides, the Polaris General XP 1000 Factory Custom Edition offers custom features included in a factory price.
The Polaris General XP 1000 is offered in both a 2-seat and 4-seat version for $25,999 and $27,999 respectively. These models will be available in dealerships towards to end of October. For more information on the General XP 1000 Factory Custom Editions check out Polaris’ website below.
