We appreciate eye-catching colors on ATVs and side-by-sides. This is certainly the case with the new colors Polaris just announced for the RZR Pro XP and RZR Pro XP 4 lineup! Polaris has added three additional color options to the RZR Pro XP models including Ghost Gray on the RZR Pro XP & XP 4 Sport, Matte Sands Metallic
Dakar is a big deal. As off-road racing goes it is one of the top two of the biggest races with the Baja 1000 being the other. Think thousands of miles over 12 days through Saudi Arabia in a truly grueling race complete with sand, rocks, and mud. When the dust settled on this year's Dakar the Can-Am Maverick X3 with Francisco López and Juan Pablo Latrach Vinagre at the helm took the first place
Yamaha has announced the return of the XT-Reme Terrain Challenge for October 1-3 at Loretta Lynn Off-Road Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. If you are a Yamaha ATV or side-by-side owner

Fast forward to 2021 and now we have updates to the entire RZR Trail
We are HUGE fans of The Grand Tour with Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond. Have you seen a SHERP? We think in the world of Off-road, this might be the King Kong of off-road vehicles. A SHERP is more or less considered unstoppable as it not only goes over almost any terrain but also floats. Just look at this thing! It looks pretty unstoppable to us, and we want to drive one real bad! In the video below you can see a SHERP in action.
We are continually impressed with Yamaha's support of outdoor recreation, and we are talking about dollars-and-cents support. The number one way Yamaha specifically supports outdoor recreation including riding areas is through the Yamaha Access Initiative. Yamaha gives out grants to organizations to create or improve riding areas, and any qualified
Honda hit a significant milestone recently when its 300,000th side-by-side rolled down the assembly line in the Honda plant at Timmonsville, North Carolina. It turns out that 300,000th side-by-side was a Pioneer 1000-5 Deluxe which we would be happy to have. Imagine working at a place the turns out so many side-by-sides that offer up fun, adventure

Yes, it is a Pioneer 500 but with engine and suspension upgrades plus a rear dumping cargo bed with sides. You can read more details in the link below. This week we found a couple of Honda videos that have been released about the Pioneer 520 and thought
Yep, there is a new Pioneer in town, and it has been fitted with the Rubicon 518cc engine, a tweaked suspension, and a dumping cargo bed. What is crazy is that we didn’t see this Pioneer 520 coming! Honda was super smart for creating this newer 520 Pioneer with all the advantages of the Pioneer 500 such as a 50-inch width
With all the excitement around the new Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000, we thought it would be beneficial to compare the RMAX 1000 to the Polaris General XP 1000 since that is clearly the side-by-side the RMAX is designed to compete in the sport/rec/utility segment where the General has dominated. We breakdown
Have you been interested in the new 2021 Yamaha Wolverine RMAX 1000 side-by-side? We sure have, and we can't wait to get our hands on one.
We at ATV ESCAPE aren't pulling any punches on how excited we are about Yamaha's new Wolverine RMAX2 and RMAX4 1000 side-by-side, just like we aren't pulling any punches that our friends at Dirt Trax released a great walk-around video of this vehicle. Many of our friends around the industry are talking about the Wolverine RMAX 1000 as it seems to be the side-by-side many of us have been wanting
It is hard to believe that the General was introduced in 2015 making it six years old. The Polaris General was Polaris’ first official foray into the rec/utility segment, which at the time was held firmly and soley by the Can-Am Commander. With the Commander’s 1000 engine placing it in a category all it’s own, the General came to the party with 100 horsepower, a very
It is October and already Can-Am is releasing some “mid-year” 2021 models. This time around Can-Am is introducing us to two new Defender PRO models including the Defender PRO Lone Star and the Defender PRO Limited. Both of these models are painted with high-end features making those who own these models have a more comfortable drive. Secondly, and in our opinion more of a big deal,
The last handful of years has seen Textron Off Road buy Arctic Cat, then the Arctic Cat name went away, and then it came back a couple of years ago. Now, Arctic Cat is back with a scaled back ATV and side-by-side offering as it is moving forward with full force. Let’s take a look at the 2021 Arctic Cat lineup.
The last few months have changed things in ways we could have never imagined, with not all of it being bad! One of the good things coming out of social distancing and sheltering at home has been a new service Polaris has unveiled a service called RideReady. This service helps facilitate maintenance for your Polaris vehicle from a local dealer in order to keep you ready
We remember the first time we saw the Wolverine X4 shortly before it’s release in 2018. Yamaha had made giant strides in comfort and capability just two years after the release of the first Wolverine side-by-side. Then, we saw the Wolverine X2 come out in 2019 mirroring the Wolverine X4 only built for two. Now in 2021 Yamaha has already made
Well this is some BIG news coming out of the Yamaha camp on a Thursday, and we at ATV ESCAPE are stoked on this vehicle. We have wanted this side-by-side out of Yamaha for several years. Say hello to the new Wolverine RMAX 1000 and RMAX4 1000 side-by-sides, and, not to spoil it, but yes it comes with a new 999cc engine putting 108 horsepower
Something is on the way for 2021 that we haven't seen before. Apparently it is a new vehicle of some kind, and from the latest video below it is a side-by-side. There is no word yet though as to when Yamaha will reveal this "thang" but we are excited to see what's next in the story of Yamaha side-by-sides. When we know
Honda released its 2021 model lineup back in June, both without much fanfare nor any real surprises. They are allowed considering 2020 was a HUGE year for Honda with redesigns and new models everywhere! Let me say right away that this model announcement includes the ATV and UTV lineup minus any news on the 2021 Talon lineup… other
Today is a big day for Polaris as it turns loose its 2021 models with There is a lot to digest across the different product lines with changes that abound in almost all product families. There are no “new” models as of yet, there are however model “additions” in the lineup
July 7th has proven to be a date of additional Kawasaki KRX 1000 models as opposed to any real “new” models, but we welcome some additions to the family of a side-by-side we have grown quite fond of in the last months. Kawasaki has released two additional Teryx KRX 1000 models in the forms of the KRX 1000 Trail Edition and KRX 1000 Special Edition.
Can-Am gave us both a nice and needed surprise by announcing its 2021 lineup this week. After reading through the press release, sitting in on a video conference call, and getting some time to sleep on changes to the Can-Am lineup, one thing is clear. The 2021 “new” to the Can-Am lineup revolves around a new technology: Smart-Shox.
Kawasaki just announced the majority of its 2021 ATV and side-by-side model lineup. The summary of the model release thus far is nothing new. All the ATVs and side-by-sides from 2020 have made a return for 2021 without any real changes other than colors and graphics. One thing to note as you can see in the photo below, Kawasaki is releasing new 2021 models on July 7th,
