We assume all of you Can-Am Maverick owners or at the very least enthusiasts, want to know about the Maverick changes/updates for 2023 might be. Well here is the summary: Not much. Starting with the Maverick X3 lineup, all models return for 2023 with no overall changes to the Maverick X3 family other than some new colors. The news on the Maverick X3 

  Polaris introduced the Ranger XP Kinetic this year which is Polaris' first real forray into the modern electric UTV. The Ranger XP Kinetic is engineered to do everything any other fullsize Ranger can do with the same level of durability.  To show off the Ranger XP Kinetic, Polaris has created a web series called To The Test where well-known people put the Ranger XP Kinetic to the test in their field of work.   Here we are at new model time with the 2023 Polaris General family being no exception. In fact, there have been some changes to the 2023 Polaris General family that seem fairly significant upon further examination. It appears that Polaris is on a march to retire the majority of the 60-inch General 1000 models in favor of having the General lineup primarily be made up of the XP 1000 64-inch models. For 2023 there is only one 60-inch General model 

  It is that time of the year when next year’s models abound with Polaris being no exception. Polaris recently announced the introduction of the initial batch of 2023 Polaris RZR models. What has changed for 2023 in the Polaris RZR lineup you might ask. In a single word: Colors. Yep, that is it. There are no updates, new models, or new features.  Honda made a bit of a surprise announcement with the introduction of a brand new model with the Pioneer 1000-6 Deluxe Crew. At first glance it is everything one would expect it to be including all the capabilities of the Pioneer 1000 with room for 6. That is a solid assumption which turns out to be pretty darn accurate. Unlike the Pioneer 1000-5, the Pioneer 1000-6 Deluxe Crew has a full size second row of seats in addition 

 It has been a long time coming since the release of the KRX 1000, but today we welcome the new 4-seat KRX4 1000. As you can see from the photos that the KRX4 1000 is capable of taking 4 people along on an off-road adventure in comfort with high-back seats, half-doors, plenty of legroom, and the off-road chops to pretty much go anywhere.  Polaris recently unveiled the 2022 RZR Pro XP & RZR Pro XP 4 Ultimate Rockford Fosgate Limited Editions. If you take a loaded RZR Pro XP Ultimate, stuff it with an 800 watt stage 4 Rockford Fosgate audio system, give it some cool looking speakers, and throw in a custom new paint scheme, then you get this new Limited Edition RZR Pro XP. If great sound is something you want to add to your off-road experience, then this is your RZR Pro XP model. 

  Can-Am has added two new models to the Defender family. It has only been a couple of years since Can-Am started offering a “Limited” trim level with almost every feature and option stuffed into that Limited model. Well you can now add the Defender 6x6 Limited to the list of Limited trim models. Another addition to the Defender family is the Defender MAX Lone Star Cab that takes the Defender MAX Lone Star model and adds to it additional goodies making for a much warmer or cooler day out on the Plains or on the trail.

 Today is a big day for Polaris and the side-by-side off-road industry as Polaris unveiled the new RZR Pro R and RZR Turbo R. We tend to shy away from drama, but both of these new RZRs really are game changers. Yes, they look like the RZR XP Pro vehicles, but in most ways the similarities end there.   Polaris dropped yet another video of the upcoming 2022 all-electric Ranger.  This video is more on the minute control of power and torque that an electric motor allows as opposed to a gasoline engine. The more of these videos we watch, the more the vehicle intrigues us, which I guess says a lot about Polaris' marketing team!

 To coincide with the release of the new 2022 Arctic Cat Alterra 600 ATV, Arctic Cat is launching the Alterra 600 Getaway Giveaway.   This week Can-Am reveled a completely new Can-Am Commander for 2021. By all accounts the Can-Am Commander introduced the rec/utility class of side-by-side back in 2010, but has been untouched by Can-Am since. The 2021 Commander marks a complete redesign from the ground up, and offers some class leading features in the process.

The Yamaha RMAX2 and RMX4 1000 continues to be the topic of conversation everywhere around the industry. These side-by-sides are selling like crazy meaning it is impossible for us to see one in person or get any seat time as of yet.   No doubt it is fair to say that Can-Am killed it at the 2021 King Of The Hammers with the top three finishers piloting their Can-Am Maverick X3's to the podium in the UTV class. Kyle Chaney crossed the finish line first flaming the win at the 2021 Can-Am UTV King Of The Hammers race with a course time of 3:47:49. Can-Am drivers Cody Miller and Phil Burton took second

  For years the name "Casey Currie" brought to mind a couple of things: phenomenal racing driver and Can-Am. Casey has an impressive racing pedigree including wines at the Dakar Rally, Baja 1000, Baja 500, X-Games, and Mint 400. Simply put Casey Currie is a force to be reckoned with on the off-road race course. Polaris RZR Factory Racing team will now be home for Casey Currie moving forward

  One thing is for sure. Polaris is focused on making activity-specific models to its ATV and side-by-side families. The proof is looking at any of the Polaris families including RZR, Ranger, and Sportsman at any of its several activity-specific models. Well, Polaris is adding two additional activity-specific models Limited Editions to its Ranger family with the Ranger XP and Ranger Crew XP Water Fowl Edition and Big Game Edition. 

  Kawasaki has added another Teryx KRX 1000 model to the family, but it would be more of a flagship or patriarch rather than a sibling. The Teryx KRX 1000 eS model is not just another model with a couple of new accessories but rather the baddest KRX yet with its FOX Live Valve suspension system that adjusts dampening on the fly for the best ride.   

  We appreciate eye-catching colors on ATVs and side-by-sides. This is certainly the case with the new colors Polaris just announced for the RZR Pro XP and RZR Pro XP 4 lineup!    Dakar is a big deal. As off-road racing goes it is one of the top two of the biggest races with the Baja 1000 being the other.  Think thousands of miles over 12 days through Saudi Arabia in a truly grueling race complete with sand, rocks, and mud.
