While we do appreciate the fact that many dealerships around the country have great service departments, we also like to do our own maintenance on our vehicles. Many people think that the drive belt is the only service item that needs to be attended to. However, in reality, you should be performing basic maintenance on your CVT clutches on a regular basis. Many people also want to keep on top of their clutches by prematurely replacing parts that are prone to wearing. One of those parts are the roller pins that are located in the secondary clutch. You will know if these get dirty or damaged because the vehicle will start taking off from a dead start in a harsh manner, surging as you take off.
